The Development Partner Institute is a
global non-profit, working towards unlocking
transformative potential in the mining industry
We imagine a new future
for mining
We do things differently by bringing together stakeholders from the entire mining ecosystem, to bring about meaningful change through our pilots and initiatives.

Who are we?
DPI builds coalitions of people, creates a safe space for dialogue with diverse stakeholders, and works together to build trust and create innovative ideas. These ideas are designed to advance solutions for tough and intractable challenges facing people across the value chain of mining.

We provide a neutral platform to tackle the intractable issues facing the resources ecosystem that are multi-stakeholder in nature and require courageous discussions – to deepen mutual understanding and trust.

How do we work?
The goal is to co-create a shared purpose and then pathways for solutions and impact that result in economic, social, and environmental outcomes during and beyond the life of mines and mining products – especially for indigenous people and communities.

Where do we work?
In keeping with our culture and philosophy, we are a lean, agile, global organization. Our skills and use of modern technology unite our team across the globe.

We have team members in Australia, the UK, Canada and the United States (where we are registered). We have Board members from Botswana and Canada, the UK, the United States, and Australia. We have associates and partners across the world.

We work wherever our initiatives and pilots take us, including Africa, South America, Europe, North America, and the Asia Pacific.
