(23 November 2020) – The virtual International Mining and Resources Conference and Expo (IMARC) takes place this week, from 23-27 November 2020! Join the DPI Mining team at this outstanding event.

The DPI Leadership team will be in four different sessions with an exciting line-up of speakers:

A dynamic panel on responsible sourcing. Our Executive Director, Wendy Tyrrell will host a panel discussion, “Responsible Sourcing Looking Forward – Voices from the Mining Value Chain”.  Wendy will be talking with Lana Eagle, Non-Executive Director of Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum, Sheila Khama, Non-Executive Director and former CEO of De Beers Botswana and Joan Krajewski, President & Founder of One Planet and former Sustainability Head at Microsoft.

A discussion on the SDGs and mining. Jan Kwak, Managing Director Australia-Asia for Hatch, a DPI Supporter, and Andrew Cole, Managing Director and CEO of OZ Minerals, will join Wendy to discuss “Mining and the SDGs – What are Your Top Three Sustainable Mining Priorities Going into 2021?

A keynote address by Peter Bryant. Our Co-founder and Chair will be presenting on Innovation and Digital Transformation: “Understanding the Nexus of Innovation and Sustainability”.

An interview with Simon WandkeThe CEO of ArcelorMittal, also a DPI Supporter company, will be discussing “Challenges and Opportunities of Bringing Together Stakeholders from the Entire Mining Ecosystem to Create Meaningful Change
