(December 15, 2021) - The Development Partner Institute (DPI) is delighted to reconfirm Hatch as a Supporter for a further three years. DPI and Hatch share a mutual commitment to collaboratively and creatively addressing some of the key issues in the mining sector. Hatch has been actively involved in DPI’s programs and initiatives from RESCO to Mining and the SDGs and our work on the future of energy.

“It is a privilege to renew this agreement with Hatch,” said Executive Director Wendy Tyrrell. “Hatch has been a global supporter and partner since the early beginnings of DPI. And as DPI continues to grow and expand our impact, we’re thrilled to have Hatch remain committed to our work and the vision and aligned values we have for the future of mining. Hatch is present in countries where DPI operates, so we value their perspective and understanding of the sector and the mining value chain.”

With over six decades of business and technical experience in the mining, energy, and infrastructure sectors, Hatch brings that expertise and experience into thinking about new and creative approaches inside the DPI tent. “We’re very pleased to continue our partnership with the Development Partner Institute. Hatch is dedicated to tackling the world’s toughest challenges and creating positive change. Through partnering with DPI that passion for positive change can become a reality,” said Jan Kwak, Managing Director, Australia-Asia for Hatch.

“We are delighted to continue and deepen our long-standing partnership with Hatch and to close the year with this extended commitment,” said Peter Bryant, Board Chair and Co-founder of the Development Partner Institute.

Core supporters are critically important to DPI as their funding enables the organisation to continue its work in accelerating the transformation of the mining sector and its role in the value chain. Through its support, Hatch has contributed new ideas and innovative collaborations. Examples include the Social Value Sessions convened earlier in 2021 and the thorny challenge of Scope 3 emissions for the mining sector.

In addition to the financial support from Hatch, DPI Mining’s work is also supported by Anglo American, Black Loon Group, Flow Partners, BHP, Schneider Electric, and Appian Capital.

At this time when the transformation of the industry to meet the needs of the future has never been more important, we welcome new partners and supporters. Learn more about how you can get involved in supporting the future of mining here: https://www.dpimining.org/connect/join-our-community
